The Cold War
The Cold War was one of Canada's most influential peacekeeping missions. Prime Minister Mackenzie King and St. Laurent met with the UN to form 'peacekeeping'. The Cold War was one of the first times that Canada had sent out troops for a solely "peacekeeping" mission. I chose this picture because it shows that people were not "turned off" by the idea of making a peacekeeping force. There were many interested in doing so and peacekeeping is a great step towards world peace.
